Volatility Levels™
I choose my own game
A brand feature from Wazdan that allows the player to choose the game's volatility (Low/Standard/High).

Adjustable Volatility is a unique option that allows the player to directly select and change the game's volatility level in real-time through the game's settings menu.

This is the most iconic feature of the developer Wazdan, and it is officially known by the trademarked name Volatility Levels™. Through this feature, players gain powerful agency to customize the 'personality' of the game to match their own preferences. For ease of understanding, this text will use the expression 'Adjustable Volatility'.

How It Works

Power of Gods: Hades by Wazdan, which features the Adjustable Volatility function

Selecting the Volatility Level

The player selects their desired volatility level by clicking a specific icon on the game interface.

  • Low: Increases the frequency of wins but decreases the size of the payouts.
  • Standard: Maintains a standard balance.
  • High: Decreases the frequency of wins but increases the potential for high payouts on a single win.

RTP Stays the Same, Only the Payout Method Changes

The most important point is that changing this setting does not change the game's long-term total Return to Player (RTP).

The system only changes 'how' the set total prize pool is distributed to the players.

This is like having the same total salary (RTP), but choosing whether to receive your pay steadily every month (Low Volatility), or to receive less normally and get a massive bonus at the end of the year (High Volatility).

Player Value

Player Agency and Custom Experience

This feature respects that every player has their own style. Instead of following a single 'personality' set by the developer, players can have a proactive experience of 'tuning' the game to their own preferences.

Strategic Bankroll Management

Players can adjust their strategy in real-time according to their financial situation. For example, when the bankroll is almost depleted, they can switch to 'Low Volatility' to extend their playtime as much as possible, or conversely, after a big win, switch to 'High Volatility' to aim for an even bigger hit.

Providing Multiple Types of Fun in One Game

The same game can offer a completely different play experience depending on the volatility setting. Thanks to this, players don't need to change games according to their mood; they can experience a diverse range of fun, from stable play to thrilling excitement, with just one setting.
