The Cluster Pays system is an innovative winning method that completely breaks the traditional slot concept of 'lines'.
In a typical slot, symbols must be placed sequentially from the left on a designated payline to be considered a win. However, in the Cluster Pays method, there are no lines at all.
Instead, symbols like candies or jellies cascade down onto a large grid (usually 5x5 or larger). There is only one condition for a win: identical symbols must connect horizontally or vertically to form a cluster.
Remarks
The Cluster Pays system, breaking from the traditional line method, is thanks to the game Aloha! Cluster Pays released by NetEnt in 2016.
As this game became a massive success, other developers began to compete in releasing their own unique Cluster Pays style slots.
